I arrived at Assen Tt circuit at 8 am friday morning and met up with Gino and Dave Rea to show them the airbrushed portraits that I had made of Gino racing his moto 2 Gresini Honda. Dave handed me a premium paddock pass for the weekend and I made the most of it, trying out every viewing point and taking loads of pics (see below)
Gino and Dave were very pleased with the quality of work in the portraits saying that the newer one looked like a blown up foto, only thing giving it away that it wasn't was the kewl effect of Gino's name embedded in the track surface.

Being in the paddock was a great experience, walking around and moto gp riders and people I had only seen on tv for years whilst following the races each weekend, Randy Mamola, Valentino Rossi, Cal Crutchlow, Steve Parrish to name but a few but the best foto opportunity was with Gino in the garage with the bike, with this one here coming a close second. I had to get this pic, Gresini girls either side and me with the Gino portrait :-)
I want to say a big thanks to Gino and Dave for the opprtunity and I am very pleased that they both thought the paintings were great, which made me very happy :-)
